Brian Ward

Brian Ward is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of DocRx, as well as a member of the company’s Board of Directors. Brian started DocRx in 2008 and has helped build it into one of the largest healthcare companies in the United States. In fact, DocRx now serves thousands of physicians, practices, pharmacies, and Hospitals nationwide. Prior to 2008, Mr. Ward worked in Pharmaceuticals for companies like AstraZeneca and Innovex as Regional Manager of their Hospital Divisions from 1997-2008. Brian Ward graduated with a Marketing Degree from Louisiana State University in 1996 after playing College Football for the LSU Tigers.

For the past 21 years, Brian has been instrumental in conceptualizing and developing more than 7 healthcare companies. Brian has either owned or operated in pharmaceutical companies, pharmacies, practice management companies, clinics and hospitals that have endowed him with the depth and breadth of knowledge required to thrive in the ever-changing healthcare environment.

Mr. Ward has demonstrated a unique ability to anticipate industry trends, identify underserved niches and create industry-leading companies. He partners with industry thought leaders and continues to play a lead role in transforming the way healthcare is delivered. In 2010, Brian was recognized as one of Mobile’s “Top 40 under 40” Executives for recognition in Professional Excellence, Community Service and Leadership.

Over the years, Brian has been facilitating company activity in consulting, sales, marketing, alliances and channels, and support. He is also responsible for DocRx’s national business units for industries, creating products for specific markets and industries such as Dispensing, Diagnostic Testing, Wholesale Manufactured Products, Injections, Compounds, Supplies, Pharmacy Wholesaling and Hospital Products.

In addition to serving on the board of directors of the Mobile Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Ward is also a member of the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama, The Mobile Alabama Touchdown Club, and has served on numerous Youth Football and Baseball Boards across the Mobile, Alabama area.
