Compliance

Medication Compliance

DocRx focuses on helping patients achieve the best care possible from it’s physicians. In partnering with physician groups, the mutual goal should always be Patient Health 1st. We partner with you to put together a very dynamic program, ensuring your patients are treated with the greatest care imaginable. Some of the steps we have taken to ensure the appropriate medications are written for each patient is through some of our product offerings such as:

  • State and Federal Laws and Regulations Review – The 1st thing we do is go over the Federal and State Laws regarding in-office dispensing with you. This is a key to ensure you have an understanding of who can and cannot dispense in your practice.

  • Pharmacogenetic Testing – By doing this early, we can focus on the patient and the medications that are appropriate for that individual. We don’t have to worry about filling a prescription that will never work for that patient due to their gene makeup

  • Topical Solutions – DocRx offers many solutions to combat the growing opioid epidemic. We can help you minimize your controlled prescriptions and offer solutions that are non addictive and help patients avoid issues with pain med addiction and avoid a patient population of drug diversions.

  • Reporting – Our software program creates a report that is sent directly to the specific state PMP Reporting System where your office(s) reside. This is an easy and effective way to maintain compliance when it comes to controlled medications. We also run ratio reports for you on your dispensing habits of controlled vs non controlled medications so you can track your prescribing habits. The reports run for the PMP allow you to see if a dispensing patient has gotten medications at another location through our proprietary software. We work with Appriss daily and make every effort to monitor the controlled writing.

  • Ordering – We monitor your inventory for you and help you ensure your ratios of ordering controlled vs non controlled are in compliance with the appropriate care.

  • Patient Monitoring – We offer a patient monitoring program that allows you to verify if a patient is taking their medication as you have prescribed them. This is done through diagnostic testing with some of our partnering laboratories.

  • Compliance Software – At DocRx we use industry leading software programs that ensure you are in compliance as well as efficient.

Our Software Program offers the following:

  • PRINTING OF DRUG INFORMATION SHEETS AND FDA MEDICATION GUIDES

    • Integrated Drug Information sheets and numerous label templates reduce the amount of paper that needs to be printed at the time of dispense.

  • BATCH REPORTS FOR EXTENDED HISTORICAL REPORTING INCLUDING DATA EXPORT FORMAT

  • FORMULARY CONTROLS WITH DEFAULT VALUE FUNCTIONS

    • Restrict formularies and setup default values used for all inventory items received from repackagers and manufacturers.

  • INVENTORY TRACKED TO LOT NUMBER, EXPIRATION

    • Let our team of experts handle the complexity of PMP reporting while you spend your time on other activities.

  • POST SHIPMENTS FROM INTEGRATED REPACKAGERS DIRECTLY INTO INVENTORY

    • Robust repackager integration allows shipment data to post directly into the application, where it can then be verified and received into inventory. Eliminate the time and errors associated with manual inventory management.

  • AUTOMATED STATE PDMP REPORTING INCLUDING ZERO REPORTING IN SUPPORTED STATES

    • State PDMP reporting available for 46 states (including automated zero fill reports to selected agencies).

  • FULLY FUNCTIONAL DUR (DRUG UTILIZATION REVIEW)

    • Drug/drug, drug/allergy, and drug ‘too soon’ checks on all dispenses.

  • INTEGRATED DRUG PEDIGREES FROM MULTIPLE REPACKAGERS

    • Drug Pedigrees available for each shipment from supported suppliers.

  • STATE COMPLIANT MEDICATION BOTTLE LABELING

    • Submit a single data file whether you report to one state or dozens. The PMP Reporting System automatically breaks the data file into separate state reports, formats the data per state requirements, and submits the reports to the appropriate state prescription drug monitoring program agencies.

Why is this important to you?

  1. Our system performs a series of checks on your data immediately, before any files are submitted to the state agencies. This allows you to fix issues quickly and avoid delays in reporting.

  2. Our system stays up to date with complex and ever-changing state PMP requirements for controlled substances

  3. Our secure web based platform allows you to submit data and check the status of your reports from anywhere on any device. Receive customized email notifications so you can stay up to date with the status of your reports.

Our programs allow us to ensure that compliance is at the forefront and the Patient’s Health comes 1st and foremost. Because at the end of the day, it’s the treatment of patients that is the key to a successful practice.
